In 1978, Rick a young radio news reporter flees Tallahassee bound for Los Angeles.
A coming-of-age, cross country journey that takes Rick from a harrowing ordeal to
a week of synchronicity, near death experiences and romantic encounters.

a catamaran race and a

miraculous series of events.

After a close call with a crazy redneck Rick treks through Alabama, Louisiana into Texas and onto Los Angeles, California via his trusty car Humphrey, a 1972 Mercury Capri.

Enabled by a buxom brunette Rick finds his way to Los Angelas. Once home a timely telephone call sparks a flame only exceeded by the fireworks of the 4th of July.
